One of my subscribers sent me a very interesting email that I wanted to share with you. It shines a light on an interesting error in the timeline.

Here is the text of the email:
another very interesting post tonight about the Gates’ Foundation website.

I’d not looked at the site before so had a nosey around. One of the things I came across was a piece about the launch of something called The Covid-19 Theraputics Accelerator.

I thought I’d take a further look into this to see what I could find out about it. This led me to the Wellcome website and this press release https://wellcome.ac.uk/coronavirus-covid-19/open-data

The date of the press release was 31 January 2020. The press release mentions Covid-19.

I then looked on the WHO website which helpfully has a timeline for major events for the pandemic and if I understand this correctly, states that the name Covid-19 wasn’t used until 11 February 2020.

If this is correct, how is it being referred to 11 days before it was supposedly named? I’m just a lay person, not a scientist so perhaps I’m missing something here, but it certainly seemed odd to me.

Anyhow, I just thought I’d share this with you as you may find it of some interest in your own investigations.
