The 12 Symptoms Your Body Uses to Save Your Life

The 12 Symptoms Your Body Uses to Save Your Life

An Essay on Suppression, Cascade, and the Pharmaceutical Business Model

UNBEKOMING

“Doctors should be treated with about the same trust as used car salesmen.”

– Robert S. Mendelsohn, MD

Author’s Note: When examining the mainstream framework, I use its vocabulary because the argument requires meeting the establishment on its own ground. In my own voice, the twelve events treated here are not manifestations of disease. They are the body’s intelligent responses to insult, whether toxic exposure, nutritional depletion, electromagnetic burden, or sustained stress. The response is the healing. Suppression of the response is the pathology.

Your body never forgot. You just stopped listening to it.

by Matthew Zoltan, co-creator of the Undo APP

Why memory is not a thought — and why that changes everything about how trauma is healed.

There is a moment, early in my work with people, when something shifts. Not in their understanding of what happened to them, but in how they are experiencing themselves right now, in the room, as we sit together.

They stop trying to remember. And they start to feel.

Most of us have been taught, by therapy, by culture, by well-meaning people, that the path through trauma is to go back to what happened, understand it, process it, and eventually make peace with it. Tell the story often enough, the thinking goes, and we’ll stop being haunted by it.

But here is what nearly forty years of working with people has shown me: the story is not where trauma lives.

Trauma is not a memory you can recall. It is a memory your body never let go of.

The Garbage Collector: Root Canals, Disease, and what the Dental Profession Refuses to Acknowledge (2022)

Modern dentistry has much to answer for.

I am placing this here after reading about the book on Unbekoming on Sibstack, where they placed this note:

Dr Gammal has generously agreed, via Dr. Robert Yoho, to make the full book available as a free PDF. If the work has value to you, please consider buying the book and/or leaving a positive review on its Amazon page to help the book reach more readers.

Examining Logical Fallacies in Health and Medicine | Dr Jordan Grant

What Your Doctor Didn’t Learn in Medical School — Logical Fallacies in Everyday Medicine

A conversation with Dr. Jordan Grant, former board-certified urologist.

There’s a question so simple it barely sounds like philosophy, but once you start using it, it  can change a great deal about how you engage with expert opinion.

How do you know that?

This is an excellent article by my good friend Dr Marizelle Arce for anyone who is still of the opinion that ‘genes’ control our biology!

Genetics is Not a Fraud, it’s Worse

Genetics Is Not What You Think It Is, It Isn’t What You’ve Been Told It Is And It Does NOT Control You

Genetics as seen in a lab, and only there.

The art of detoxification – a gentle approach | Amandha Vollmer

Are you caught in the cycle of intense, short-term detoxes that leave you exhausted, depleted, and right back where you started? It’s time to stop the radical cleanses and embrace a smarter, gentler way to support your body’s natural wisdom. Join Adrian and Dr. Amandha Vollmer (yummy.doctor) as they redefine detoxification, arguing that it shouldn’t be a gruelling event but a continuous, supportive, lifelong practice.

In this powerful episode, Amandha reveals why your body is already detoxing 24/7 and how we often strip it of the resources it needs to do its job effectively. We dive into the profound distinction between supportive cleansing and obsessive, addiction-driven detoxing, and why the “hustle culture” is the single biggest threat to your natural cleansing rhythms. If you’ve ever felt defeated by a fad diet or cleanse, this episode will fundamentally shift your perspective toward a calm, intentional, and sustainable approach to true long-term health.

A short history of saturated fat: the making and unmaking of a scientific consensus

I found this on PubMed.

For decades following the introduction of the diet-heart hypothesis, many scientists were unaware of the lack of evidence for this theory. However the rediscovery of rigorous clinical trials testing this hypothesis and the subsequent publication of multiple review papers on these data have provided a new awareness of the fundamental inadequacy of the evidence to support the idea that saturated fats cause heart disease. The observed resistance against considering this new science by successive DGACs can potentially be seen as reflecting longstanding biases in the field and the influence of vested interests. Until the recent science on saturated fats is incorporated into the U.S. Dietary Guidelines, the policy on this topic cannot be seen as evidence-based.
